Yes, because every language is beautiful on its own. Especially when rich vocabulary combines with right pronunciation.

I think my first reply wasn't published for some reason! Yes, you can. But it's better not to do that in order to avoid confusion. If you want to do it, then you can start with one of them and when you master the basics of the first one you can start with the other one.

Absolutely !! It is true that language learning is fastest in first 10 years. However learning a language as an adult has its own advantages. They have a greater understanding of semantics and context sensitivity. They can also effectively self monitor and choose learning strategies that fit them the best. Studies have shown that there is no decline in the ability to learn as people get older. The biggest obstacle is the doubt. focusing on the solution rather than the problem will help. integrate the new language with your interests, daily activities. Give importance to regularity in practical application. I hope you decide to take up the challenge. Good luck!!

Can't say one is better than another. British can be hard to understand for a beginner learner. Don't stress it, learn, create your own international style and have fun :)

It's possible to improve your pronunciation and accent to as close as possible to the native one, but it's difficult to be native although there are some exceptional cases. In general the more you practice the more you improve.

It really depends on what you want to do in your life. For many people it is not necessary to speak English, however a lot of opportunities are made available if you can speak it since it is by far the commonly spoken second language. This means that it isn't only useful for communicating with native speakers, but with people from all over the world. It isn't necessary to speak English, but it can be very useful for a wide range of reasons. It may be that in the short term you don't benefit from it, but you might find new opportunities that you didn't realise are available right now.

It really depends on what you want to do. The United States is much larger than New Zealand, with far more and far larger cities. However both countries have a lot of wilderness you can explore. Personally, I'd prefer to go to New Zealand but that may be different for you.

I'm not sure whether it is possible to instantly reduce your accent, since your accent will interact with the different sounds made when speaking in English in different ways. To reduce it over time, you could try having some lessons with an English teacher, watching English speaking movies and TV, and talking with English speaking friends. But none of these are immediate. Also try to think about what accent you'd like to speak English in (e.g. British, American, Australian etc).

Swedish has an advantage in that Sweden it has a larger population. In terms of native speakers, there are 10 million speakers of Swedish, compared to 5.5 million speakers of Danish. For speakers of those languages as a second language, there are about 3.2 million people that speak Swedish as a second language, compared to 200,000 people for Danish.
