Gender of nouns: Spanish nouns can be masculine or feminine. When Spanish nouns end in -o, they are usually masculine. If they end in -a, they are usually feminine, but sometimes there are exceptions. Together with learning a new noun, you have also to learn its definite article (el, la, los, las).
