In Spanish there also exists the form ‘unos’ which may seem like a contradiction, since it’s a plural of ‘uno’ (one), which is, by definition, singular. However, this form developed out of a need to refer to ‘some’ things, fewer than ‘varios’ (several), but more than one. And so, ‘unos/unas’ can be translated to some: ‘Unos perros me siguieron a casa’ = ‘Some dogs followed me home’.
