Verbs "Ser" and "Estar" (uses): Estar can express: state/condition, location, certain idiomatic expressions, progressive tenses. Ser can express: key qualities, place of origin, nationality, occupation, the hour/day/date, religious or political affiliation, the material something consists of, possession, relationship between persons/people, some impersonal expressions, a place of taking an event.
