About meI was born and raised in sunny San Diego, California on the west coast of the USA. Though, to be honest, I feel more at home when I'm abroad (which confuses almost everyone I meet!), so I moved to Europe. Poland, to be specific. About four years ago, I quit my job, sold my car and most of my belongings, got rid of my apartment, and bought a one-way ticket to Europe. Since then I've lived on three continents, taught conversational English to people from all over the globe, learned Spanish, and seen more countries and had more experiences than most do in a lifetime. My passion, and what I do best, is intensive tutoring for intermediate level (or above) students who already have a decent grasp of the language but want to become more fluent and/or reduce their accent. I find joy in teaching the nuances of English and how it's actually spoken, not from textbooks. My preference is to tailor lessons to each person's needs and desires, so I do not have long-term lesson plans and none of my regular students have had the same experience. Unlike some tutors, I won't promise to have you speaking fluently in "no time". The truth is that no matter what you current level is, it's going to take lots of time and energy to see significant change. What I will promise, however, is to provide an informative, friendly, and even silly/fun learning environment for you to practice speaking, increase your vocabulary, and, over time, improve your confidence and fluency. During each lesson, I take notes about our conversation topics, words and/or phrases we discuss, and anything else of importance. For an additional fee, I will compile my notes as well as provide additional helpful information, and send it to you in the form of a neatly formatted PDF so you can get the most out of our lessons. IMPORTANT: If you are interested in starting lessons with me, please send me a message first, so we can discuss your goals, time-frame, etc. and make sure that we are a good fit for one another. I look forward to hearing from you! Andy
