Do technologies have a positive or negative effect on personal safety?

In this modern era, technology has proved to be inevitable in our everyday life. From household chores to education system and even work, technology plays a very crucial role. 

The main benefit from technology is that it has eased our lives. With the use of technology we can have our clothes washed, students no longer that to open big dictionaries to find something since it is easily available on internet and people working in offices have become more productive and efficient. The education system has improved since students are making use of tablets to complete their projects. They are able to find ideas from across the world. There are online games that boost the brain system and has also enabled teacher to communicate effectively with students by online classes. 

Furthermore, with the advancement in technology, the medical field has reached to another level. We can now perform the most delicate operations and surgeries through the help of nanotechnology. Our docters have made tremendous use of technology for innovations is the medical system for example, test tube babies and cosmetic surgeries. 

However, despite having so many benefits, technology does impact our lives negatively. Children are always busy on their tablets playing online games that they do not realise the value for having real friends and spending time playing outside and bonding with nature. Sometimes parents are also too busy on their phones that there is no communication at home. Children have no proper guidance and they tend to make improper use of technology. For so many years, children have become victims of cyber crimes where people were chatting with them anonymously and gathering personal information. This has led to fatal consequences such as harassment, thefts and in more severe cases ,this has led to rapes and murders. 

Thus, we can say that technology has both its pros and cons, but, it depends on how we are making use of it. If we are having sufficient and proper use of technology, we would never face any issue.
