Effect’s of Screen Time on Children’s Development and Health

Screen time is considered as spending time on digital devices like tablets, smartphones, computers and televisions. However, screen time can also have positive aspects as it can be used for the educational purpose of children, helping them in their studies and educational activities. Apart from studies, digital devices can be used for the entertainment of children. On the other hand, screen time also has negative aspects, as the excessive screen time can affect the brain negatively in different ways. It includes sleep disturbance, obesity, language delays, attention deficits, aggression and social withdrawal.

Parents can reduce the screen time for their children

Parent's should play their role in distancing the children's from excessive screen time by taking them out door, spending time with them and involving them in outdoor activities as the affects their physical and mental health in positive way. If the children's are not interested in outdoor activities parents should make them involvein habits like reading books, arts and craft and most importantly family time.
