Example:

Elle est aussi naïve qu’elle est jeune. - She is as naive as she is young.

Elle est autant naïve que jeune. - She is as naive as she is young.

Comme

Meaning: like

Here's another word that can substitute 'aussi' for comparisons and those comparisons that consider equality.

Example:

Vous êtes aussi intelligente que lui! - You are just as intelligent as he is!

De Même

Meaning: likewise

This word is easy and pleasant to use and because of that, it is ideal for informal and casual conversations. It can replace ‘aussi’ perfectly well in cases when you want to continue that positive energy.

Example:

Aussi, nous avons voulu vendre le loger.- Also, we wanted to sell the house.

De même, nous avons voulu vendre le loger. - Likewise, we wanted to sell the house.

De Plus

Meaning: more (in the meaning extra)

In cases when you add something you already have, you can use the 'de plus' term.

Example:

 Jean doit aussi acheté une autre chaussure.- Jean so has to buy another shoes

Jean dois acheter une autre chaussure de plus.- Jean has to buy extra shoes.

Encore

Meaning: more, another, too

In situations when you are just adding something, you can use 'encore' instead of 'aussi.'

Également

Meaning: just as, equally

The word aussi can be used for comparisons, too.

En Plus

Meaning: moreover, in addition, what's more (informal)

As much as this term may sound impossible to use instead of aussi, it actually can and it does a great job.

In situations when you are having a casual conversation and you slowly turn to something else, feel free to use this expression.

Example:

Aussi, l’homme a retrouvé tous les papiers qu’il avait perdu. - Also, the man found all the papers that he had lost.

En plus, l’homme a retrouvé tous les papiers qu’il avait perdu. - What’s more, the man found all the papers that he had lost.

Itou

Meaning: too ( informal word)

When you are among family and friends or you are having a very casual conversation, the word aussi you usually use here can be replaced with 'itou.'

Example:

J’aime traîner avec mes potes, aussi.- .I like hanging around with my buddies, also.

J’aime traîner avec mes potes, itou. - I like hanging around with my buddies, too

Pareillement

Meaning: likewise, similarly

When you talk about similarity between two things, ‘pareillement’ is ideal to use.

If you, for example, compare how similar French and Spanish are, and in the end, you give the conclusion that the two languages are very similar, you will use 'pareillement.'
