Sometimes speaking in English can become frustrating. For example, in a conversation with people who speak the language, you may want to tell everyone that you are bored, but you end up telling them that you are boring. Luckily, these situations can be avoided: by learning and perfecting English grammar. Knowing grammar rules and how to use them properly will allow you to communicate more easily with people without embarrassing moments.

English grammar is indeed important, but it is not the only aspect that you should focus on. Trying to memorize all the rules in English can be stressful, that is why we want to give you some tips and easy and fun ways to learn English grammar:

1. See grammar differently

To learn the grammar of a language, you don't necessarily have to memorize all the rules in the manual. A more natural and simple way to learn is by listening and speaking at the same time.

If you listen to others as they use English naturally, this will allow you to hear and copy their use of grammar, seek to connect, and remember it quickly. Something similar to how children learn to speak without having to memorize rules. This is possible for you if you put in the effort and open your understanding of the language.

2. Learn little by little

Like any language, English grammar has aspects that are easy to learn, and others that tend to be a bit more complicated than require more understanding.

For example, a great advantage of this language is that when the present simple tense is used the verbs are presented in two forms, one for pronouns and one for he, she, and it. On the other hand, a complicated aspect is that English has many irregular verbs. The important thing is to learn the rules properly, paying attention to one thing at a time.

3. You can make mistakes

Making mistakes is the key to learning grammar - when you learn something new it is natural to make mistakes about something unknown. A good learner tries to speak as much as they can so they make mistakes, always open to corrections, reinforcing knowledge.

 4. Learn grammar = fun

Many people connect grammar with long hours of study, exercises to learn rules. It is true that this method works for some people but not so much for others because they find it boring and complicated.

With the techniques that we offer you in Justlearn, you can learn in a fun and didactic way.

Grammar is an important part when you want to speak a new language, it should not necessarily become the center of your training but you should not downplay it and it should not become complicated when learning it and applying it in our lives.

How can I improve my grammar and vocabulary?

You can improve your grammar and vocabulary by reading regularly, talking to native speakers, watching movies, and listening to music. Find a good grammar manual to help you out. Practice often by doing grammar exercises and revising new words.
