To learn English is easy. But, to master everything about it and to learn how to use it in a particular context, is harder. Fluency is another thing that's beyond just speaking some words in English like yes or no, in and out, open and close.

If you really want to be fluent in this language, there a few important steps that you must take before that. Also, in such tests, there will be levels that will classify the skills you've already developed after learning the language after a while.

What is the B1 Level in English?

B1 is the third level in the list after the A1 and A2 level which are the beginner stages. At this point, you must have already acquired certain skills related to English that you did not possess before. Here are some of those skills:

  • express your hopes for your personal life and career

  • express your dreams for the future

  • conduct a job interview related to your field of expertise

  • describe education and one's future training

  • express one's like for music and the trends

  • describe one's inspiration about dating and meeting people

  • describe the safety issues and explain rules and regulations

Such skills are far from the beginning level of a person whose native language is not English. It's an achievement that one can be truly proud of. Not all students and people get the same opportunity as you do and to reach this far.

How to Reach the B1 Level in English?

So you might be asking how to reach the B1 level in English after passing the other levels and acquiring all those improvements in your learning. This may be a much harder level compared to A1 and A2 levels but all you need to do is keep your faith in yourself and remember the important tips on the list below.

  1. Decide to learn. Unless you totally made up your mind that learning English is your goal, you cannot really be ready to do all that this will take starting from day one of your journey.

  2. Always practice what you've learned. The lessons you've heard and studied in school should have a follow-up. Wherever you go, if you are really eager to make it easy for you, then practicing will just be normal for you as well.

  3. Read books and other materials in English. Even mobile apps can be helpful. Just be careful to choose the best one that will work for you.

  4. Look for a professional or a tutor to help you personally and one-on-one. Clarifications on things that you did not fully understand are important in language learning and others more. Find a native tutor to help you if you want to become fluent.

Final Thoughts

To have reached as far as the B1 level in English is such a big improvement. If you continue to do what you did to pass in the previous levels, there is no doubt you will succeed also on this new level.

Nothing is impossible to a person who has a solid goal and determination.

Reach B1 level and continue to strive in passing the other harder levels to come. Someday you'll be able to reap the fruits of all your hard work.
