The Portrait of a Steadfast Person

An individual with a definite purpose is a systematic being. He prefers the essential to necessary and the necessary to unnecessary. Movement and activity characterize his personality. To ensure permanence in such characteristics is his prime objective and to shun the unwanted is his foremost priority. Ruthless odds pose obstacles in his way, but he is resolute to get over them with an air of a mystic who abandons everything to focus on his meditation. Unto him, everything is conspiring to pit him against every kind of impediment on the way to success and even hurdles exist only to warm him up. Despair is something unknown to him. In the world of a steadfast person, it is sheer foolery to move one’s eyes away from the bullseye.

Challenges come only to make him more determined and more resolute in his pursuit. He comes to imagine himself as gold that appears refined after bearing the blaze of fire. His eyes are analogous to a pair of spectacles designed to filter out what might prove distracting.

His aspirations are his heaven. He is not the bird to migrate when winter sets in. He may starve, and be buried under an ominous mantle of ice but only to re-emerge as a more trained organism, harder to yield, difficult to surpass.
