Ciao a tutti! My name is Laura and I am a freelance Italian teacher and translator based in Berlin. I come from Bari - a small town in southern Italy - where I graduated in foreign languages and literature before coming to Berlin four years ago. As a linguist and lover of the Italian language, I immediately tried teaching Italian, and I can definitely say that it was a successful idea :) Me and my student will deal with different kind of communicative situations and I´ll give them the opportunity to talk as much as he can in order to have the closest approach to the language. During my years of teaching I noticed how often some linguistic skills are trained more than others/are preferred over others, giving less space to first and closest linguistic experience that certainly occurs with the speaking. This is the reason why my teaching method wanted to experience a change of course, that focused exactly on the student ability of speaking till the final analyze of the conversation from a lexical and grammatical point of view.
