Spanish: What's the difference between... 'Era', 'Fue' and 'Estaba'?
Aaah, our good friends 'Era', 'Fue' and 'Estaba'. All three words are used to talk about past tense in Spanish. However, what's the difference? In what context do we use each one? ¡Hola! My name is Estefanía, and I'm from Mexico. I have six years experience in teaching ESL, and over three years in teaching English and Spanish online to Chinese, Korean, and Japanese students, as well as students from other countries. They come from all walks of life, such as working professionals, stay-at-home moms, and young students that want to practice speaking. Personally, it makes me very happy to see them gain more confidence in their speaking skills and see how they express their opinions and thought fluently in another language. In my lessons, I use Powerpoint as a way to present the material in an efficient manner. Also, I like to use popular and everyday examples, as well as small quizzes and check if my students understood the topic or if there's a need to polish on a certain point. Of course, I tailor all of my lessons according to my student's likes and needs, so this way it's easier to remember the topic and they can use it for work or school. I really hope we can work together, make a good team, and reach the level that you want!!!!
