Bonjour! Enchanté, je m'appelle Kevin. I'm a French native speaker who grew up in the French Alps. I have been teaching French for 4 years and a half. 👀 How am I? 🔘 Attentive (Obviously) 🔘 Patient (Super) 🔘 Gentil (100%) 🔘 Creative 🦄 🎓How is my class? 📌 Relaxed 📌 Funny 📌 Professional 📌 Dynamic 🎓 How can I help you? 📌 Pronunciation 📌 Grammatic 📌Conversations 📌 DELF A1- B2 exam 👀 ALSO FRENCH FOR TRAVELERS 👀 Would you like some information about French classes? My French classes are custom-made depending on your objectives (travel, work, and school, etc.). Tell me what your goals are, and we can create your student plan. I am a French teacher and interpreter. I teach French to teenagers and adults of different levels from beginner to advanced. I consider myself a patient and caring teacher who always expects the best from his students. I know that for many people, learning French can be a bit complicated due to grammar and pronunciation. However, I assure you that together, we will have a favourable environment for learning. I'll try to speak French through most of the class, and I'll do it as clearly as possible so that my students get used to the language. I use multimedia resources such as videos, exercises, photos, etc. to enrich the vocabulary of my students, many of which I have designed myself. I like my classes to have fluent and fun conversations in which my students can feel free to talk about whatever they want. My way of teaching focuses on determining the most appropriate method for each student's learning style (visual, auditory, creative, etc.), and adapting my lessons according to their needs. If you decide to learn French with me, we will have a conversation during which I will assess your level of French. We will discuss your needs to suit your goals and put together a work plan. My teaching style can best be described as interactive, supportive, and transparent. I encourage my students to have a voice in the classroom, ask questions when they come up, and participate actively in all conversations regardless of their level of confidence. I have put a lot of thought into the ways that I want my teaching style to be formed. I want to be the type of teacher that has a fun classroom environment where mistakes and questions are encouraged just as often as researched statements. I speak as much as possible in French to get them used to the language. I also speak clearly and even slowly depending on my student's proficiency level. We all learn best when we have wiggle room for error. I want to provide my students with security and confidence when they speak French. I also use my custom-made materials for pronunciation, grammar, etc. My background: I graduated with a Bachelor's of Design Marketing in 2016. In my career, I have used software to design models and projects. I also took courses in architectural design and quantum physics. Part of my program was to complete an internship where I developed sales skills by dealing directly with clients. Also, I obtained a first-aid certificate that same year. In 2017, I decided to move to the United States to study English. I graduated from the ESL Summer English program at Johns Hopkins University, earning a level 5 certificate. Then I studied intensive CESL Fall English Superior at the University of Arizona, obtaining a level 6 certificate. During this period, I developed oral and written communication skills and learned about English literary history. Finally, in 2018, I moved to Mexico to learn Spanish, and in fall of 2019, I took a written communication course at the University of Sonora. Now I'm living in Tucson, AZ.
Hello everyone! Thanks for passing by! I am a native French speaker. I was born and raised in the Champagne region (North East of France), but I am now living in Medellín, Colombia. I fell in love with learning new languages and travelling the world (over 35 countries visited) when I was at school. I am used to studying several languages simultaneously, and I speak four myself. I have been a student way before being a teacher. I can teach French to everyone, whether it’s from scratch or at advanced levels. I'm used to teaching online on other platforms. I adjust my lessons to your needs. I am said to be energetic and supportive, and I smile a lot. Learning with me in a relaxed environment is a fun experience you won't regret. I always do my best to make my students feel comfortable, as I want them to achieve their goals. *** HOW I ORGANIZE MY PRIVATE LESSONS *** I usually start with a trial lesson to evaluate your level and your objectives. During this first exchange, you’ll tell me about yourself, your experience with French, your goals, strengths, weaknesses you want to work on, and all the activities you like to do while studying a new language. All my lessons are 100% personalized, just for you, considering all the things listed above. During the next lessons, I'll focus our conversations on topics which interest you (or topics we can mutually choose) to practice speaking, improve your grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and on other things you may need to reach fluency. Do not hesitate anymore. Do have a look at my timetable, and I am sure we can find a slot for you! See you soon!

Hello! I'm Stephane from France. I have been teaching French and English for over 15 years in Asia: China - Bridging programs, HK - Secondary schools and universities + Hong Kong - Management Association, Philippines - ESL schools, Keynote speakers on Education Management. Bonjour à tous, I have a master's degree in French as a foreign language. I have been teaching French for about ten years. I taught in France at the University of Lorraine, as well as within associations that welcome migrants. I also taught in Spain, where I lived for five years. I have worked with a wide variety of people, of all ages and all levels. I am familiar with distance learning and, thanks to it, I have had the opportunity to welcome learners of many nationalities and languages of origin. I speak English and Spanish. I was a jury for the DELF diploma for levels A1 to B2, and I am familiar with the requirements for these certifications. I have taught groups and even large groups, but what I prefer is private tuition. My strong point: adapting to your needs and learning style, giving you confidence and helping you to maintain motivation!
Bonjour Les Amis! My name is Tommy, and I was born in France. I now live in Mozambique, Africa, where I have been teaching scuba diving for close to two years, in both French and English. I also hold a TEFL certification, and I am, therefore, a certified English teacher. Learning new languages is something I love doing, and I find it to be a mark of respect towards others as it allows you to connect with them. As a result of my travels and because of this "philosophy," I am fluent in English, conversant in German and Portuguese, and I have basic knowledge of Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian Bahasa. What I have learnt is that mistakes are an important step in any learning process. I promise I won't judge or humiliate you if you use the wrong word or have an accent. We'll take our time, work on it and have fun in the process! I would rather start with a trial lesson to get a good grasp of what you expect from our lessons. During that time, we will talk about your current level in French, your goals and expectations. I think that the best would be for us to start focusing on conversational French, so you can have a better understanding of the language once we tackle more advance topics like grammar and written French. So that you enjoy your time with me, I will personalize our lessons with topics that interest you. Looking forward to meeting you! À bientôt :)
Hi! I'm a 24, an Algerian-French, who loves to travel the world at every chance. I'm a native French speaker and an advanced English speaker, and I have been teaching French in person and online for three years. Since I started teaching, I have been preparing my students for exams (levels B1 to C1), academic French and business French. If you are interested in interactively developing your vocabulary, learning pronunciations and idioms, exploring French literature or improving your conversational skills, and overall knowledge, I am the best tutor for you. My lessons are simple yet efficient enough to allow you to learn and converse in French easily. Over the years, I have developed unique ways and teaching plans that enable a student from any background and any age to assimilate and learn French easily. My method is based on the exclusive use of the target language for levels higher than a beginner. Plus, I utilize a revolutionary way of teaching grammar called "grammar through context." This means that I introduce the use of the grammar rules in action, instead of presenting them with the classic method. I also present new vocabulary by relating it to real-life situations which help the student to understand the meaning of it. I am here to help you and guide you on your learning path and your discovery of the French language and culture. With my help, you will be able to speak French and discover and explore the French-speaking world at your leisure. I hope to work with you, so please contact me now! See you soon!

What is the most important qualification that you should look out for in choosing a tutor?
Above all else, it's important for you and your tutor to be able to communicate in a common language. It may not be English because the tutor might be fluent in your native tongue, too. But if the tutor you chose is a native speaker of the language you want to learn and isn't fluent with your native language and you know how to speak in English, then make sure he can speak English, too.
What should you expect in learning a language?
Learning a new language takes time, lets you put in a bit more effort and resources to make it work. If you have a specific timeframe that you're following, then you'll need more of the three aspects to learn it. You should also expect that if it's just a bit too difficult for you, then you have to be open to your tutor about your difficulties so that what you've invested on will not go to waste. In that way, your tutor will be able to make adjustments and will help you achieve your goal.
How can you be more effective in learning a language?
Always be attentive in your lessons and when you're done with them, make sure that you are able to practice and apply what you learned. Your tutor will give you tips on how to practice on your own and might give you homework. If the tutor doesn't, then you can ask for it so you can keep practicing off schedule. You always have to help yourself while you're on your own so that when you're already out there and speaking with the locals, it's not that hard to pick up on what you learned anymore.
What factors should you consider in learning a language online?
Learning a language online needs you to invest in a good internet connection, if you don't have any yet, because it's the only way to work with a tutor. You also have to invest your time and if time is difficult to spare, you might as well choose a platform that allows you to choose your own schedule. You also need space, like a quiet room, where you can speak with the tutor and be able to focus on your lessons.
How can you help your language tutor be effective in teaching you?
Always be attentive with what your tutor is teaching you. It's the only way for you to understand and learn easily. Make sure that you follow the schedule that you agreed on or what you choose for yourself if that's how it works. You also have to participate in the activities that your tutor has planned for you because these have been tailored fit with the requirements that you have set. If you are asked to practice during the days when you don't have lessons, you have to religiously do so.
What kind of language tutor should you choose?
It really depends on your learning style. If you think you can learn better if the person is more of someone who teaches professionally then you can find someone who teaches that way. If you're the type who learns while just talking to the teacher, then you can opt for someone who's friendly, enthusiastic and fun but still focusing on the lesson at hand. Always read a tutor's personal introduction so you have a bit of an idea who they are and how they teach.
What's the advantage of hiring a tutor?
It's an advantage to hire a tutor because lessons will be customized for you and you'll be guided in learning them to make it more effective for you. You can easily interact with them and ask them to elaborate if something's not really that clear to you. They will also be able to give you feedback on your progress with your lessons and how far along you are in achieving your goals in learning the language.
How can learning a language benefit me other than being able to communicate with it?
Studies have proved that learning languages can help you with other mental processes as it sharpens your thinking skills. There's significant improvement in your memory, enhances your concentration, it helps you be able to multitask with ease and improves your listening comprehension skills. It also helps you solve problems easily because it enables you to critically be able to think to come up with effective solutions.
What should be your mindset so you can learn a new language easily?
If you already have a particular language in mind because you have goals to achieve, prepare yourself to learn it and be mentally ready to take risks. There will be times that you will struggle but it should always challenge you to work harder and do better. You have to be optimistic and determined that no matter how many obstacles you have, you're still willing to make it happen and be fluent in the language you want to learn.
How important is motivation in learning a language?
Before you decide to learn a new language, you have to be able to answer the question, "Why do you really want to learn?" It could be because you'll get a promotion at work, or for a new relationship, or because you want to get better grades in school and etc. There are many reasons why you want to push yourself to learn. Your reasons why you have to learn affects the level of motivation that you exhibit in learning and it also shows in the progress that you achieve.
