Is an education necessary for a high-paying job?

Not really. It depends on the skills and your ability.

Not really. The more educated you are, the more likely that you get paid, statistically. However, this is not the case with everybody. I know a person who dropped from high school and now CEO of a company. Some parents might say you need to be educated to become rich, but they are saying this because it is the most probable way. So keep in mind that higher education is not necessary but helps.

I believe in the power of education. However, when it comes to jobs, people usually make their own choices and try their own ways to have the jobs they want (maybe high-paying ones). Education is one of the ways to make that happen, and of course, there is more than one option! To me, the purpose of education is to set a foundational and conceptual mindset that encourages us to explore our potential and abilities. The goal of pursuing education is not finding a job. It is like a conceptual guide leading you to figure out where your skills and knowledge fit in. You make your career out of your educational training and real-life experiences. Hope it helps! Good luck with everything! -Linh Le-

I agree that under certain circumstances, experience can be more valuable than education for high-paying jobs. However, education is important for most people who don't have such experience. Through education, we gain knowledge that is needed to be efficient in our job. This, combined with experience, creates an ideal work situation.

Not at all! My godfather studied until the third grade, left the school in his adolescence to work as a mechanic and now he's a millionaire. You gotta know how to take risks and make wise decisions, though. Education is mostly necessary for jobs in administrative places, or in the academy, since this is the purpose of education as seen by the State.
