About meHello! My name is Mallika and my nickname is Goy. I am a native Thai growing and living in Thailand for my first 25 years. In 2015, I traveled to Finland to explore around but ended up living here. I fell in love with learning different languages and I am inspired to become a Thai language teacher in Finland. After a few years of hard work, I am now a Thai language teacher, teaching in Finnish language, in one of the education centers in Finland. At the same time, I have been a teacher online since April 2019. I have a well-structured Thai book used for teaching, including exercises. After 60 hours, you would be able to speak well basic Thai. For more teaching experience, I started teaching languages (English and Chinese) when I was 17. The success of my first student encouraged me to continue teaching as a hobby and part-time job along with my school life. Although I enjoyed teaching languages then, I did not think that I would become a Thai language teacher today! This seems to me like a destiny, but I would rather say that I have just found my true passion that has been in me all along. Below is a message from my personal experience that I want to share to you all: Learning another language takes a lot of time and effort. However, what I found the most important is to keep yourself motivated until you reach your goal, and it is super hard when you try to learn a language on your own. Learning online is one way to help keeping you engaged to language learning. Of course, there will be times when you get frustrated from feeling that it is too hard or losing motivation, but trust me that all of you will get there only if you don’t give up! As I have learned three different languages: English, Chinese, and Finnish, I found that listening and practicing with the right approach is the key to fluency and fast progress. Thai language is not difficult in terms of learning to speak even though the tone is a big challenge for English speakers. If you practice Thai language hard every day, it is very likely that you will reach the intermediate level within six months. But if you don’t have time to practice much, it will take you longer time but you will also get there only if you study it regularly. Book a lesson with me today, you will learn more about language learning techniques and how I can help you to speak Thai as soon as possible!
