About me☑ A native Russian speaker ★ Taught Russian at the College of Wooster, Ohio, USA (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced) 🏆 Judge for Undergraduate Olympiada of Spoken Russian, Bowling Green State University, USA ☀️ Teaching experience: 6 years 🎓 B.A. in Teacher Education (English and Spanish), Honours ★ Professional Qualification: Teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language (Moscow State University) Hi! My name is Marina, and the reason why I teach Russian is that my heart is full of deep love for teaching and learning. I love helping others, foreign languages and my native language, cultures, and, more importantly, people and the world. I am a professional Russian and English teacher from Ryazan, Russia. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Teacher Education (English and Spanish) from Ryazan State University. After that, I successfully completed the 350 hours course "Methods of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language" at Moscow State University and obtained the title "Teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language". My experience in education has always been multicultural. I studied and worked in Russia, Spain, and the United States of America. I also taught Russian in the US at the College of Wooster, Ohio (as part of my Fulbright Program experience). Besides teaching Russian, I've been teaching English for about 6 years. As a teacher, I am very attentive, patient, and responsible. I’m focused on my students’ progress, and I’m intent on improving your fluency and accuracy. My approach is communicative and student-centered, which means that we’ll tailor the study plan and the pace of learning to your needs and interests. I believe that the most important part of education is people: what is within and among us. That is why I do my best to create a warm atmosphere during the lessons and find a suitable approach for every individual. I treat students with attention, support, and care, and I share the knowledge that I have using the most effective teaching methodologies and techniques. I provide all the necessary study materials: textbooks, workbooks, interactive online exercises, authentic and adapted texts, audio and video materials, google docs, powerpoints, word and pdf files. I am very excited to meet you, and I look forward to our lessons! See you soon!
