Hi there! This is Benjie, an English major graduate at one of the state universities here in my country. I have been teaching English online for more than two years now, and I have experiences teaching the Filipino language too. My love for English and my hunger to learn more about the field led me to become more confident in joining English contests like debates, public speaking, speech contests, radio broadcasting and essay writing. These experiences gave me inputs about the English language as a primary tool to communicate and instil leadership in me. I will bring this aspect as a teacher here at justlearn to teach and also share what I have in store using the lessons and tools at my disposal. The greatest reward that I could ever have throughout this endeavour is seeing someone becoming confident with their communication and public skills using the English language. Trust me, that could be you! So book your class now, and learn English with me to become a better and competent communicator. I hope to see you soon!
Good Day! My name is Wilgene Ras, and I finished Computer Programming at AMA Computer Learning Center. I am the perfect teacher for you because I really love teaching. I want to share my knowledge and experiences with other people, and at the same time, make friends with them. Hello, My name is Tara, and I live in the UK. I've been teaching English online for about 8 years. I teach students 18 years old and over. I like to focus on everyday natural language, and I want to help students reach their full potential with their speaking. I can also help students with their grammar, writing, pronunciation, reading, and I can provide listening exercises for homework, or any other homework a student may prefer. I can assist with business English, technical English (I recently helped someone with engineering terminology in English), and we can do general topics too. I have helped people prepare for the IELTS and TOEFL exams in the past, and I would be happy to help out with this again. I think anybody can learn a language from scratch and improve on their existing skills, but they need a patient teacher who is willing to break language down and explain things using simple vocabulary. I will also provide pictures of objects to help people retain vocabulary if they want me too. I use Wikipedia and news articles to do this. I am registered blind, which means I use a computer with a screen reader. A screen reader is software which converts the text on screen into audio, so that I can hear what is on the screen. When I teach, I always use headphones, so I don't disturb my students. I'm happy to use a webcam when I teach, in fact I prefer it if students can see me. I can provide students with Word and PDF documents if they require. I have a bachelor's degree and a postgraduate diploma in translation with language technology. I speak French and Spanish to an intermediate / advanced level. I also speak German, Italian, Greek, Russian, and Norwegian to a beginner level. I can read some Portuguese too. I love learning languages, and I like to learn some of the student's native language to help them a little bit. I understand the difficulties and frustrations students face when learning, and I would like to help people through this. Languages are fun, but they can be challenging too, and if I can help people overcome any difficulties they may have with English, I will be very happy.

What is the most important qualification that you should look out for in choosing a tutor?
Above all else, it's important for you and your tutor to be able to communicate in a common language. It may not be English because the tutor might be fluent in your native tongue, too. But if the tutor you choose is a native speaker of the language and isn't fluent with your native language and you know how to speak in English, then make sure he can speak English, too.
What should you expect in learning a skill?
Learning a new skill takes time, lets you put in a bit more effort and resources to make it work. If you have a specific timeframe that you're following, then you'll need more of the three aspects to learn it. You should also expect that if it's just a bit too difficult for you, then you have to be open to your tutor about your difficulties so that what you've invested on will not go to waste. In that way, your tutor will be able to make adjustments and will help you achieve your goal.
How can you be more effective in learning a skill?
Always be attentive in your lessons and when you're done with them, make sure that you are able to practice and apply what you learned. Your tutor will give you tips on how to practice on your own and might give you homework. If the tutor doesn't, then you can ask for it so you can keep practicing off schedule. You always have to help yourself while you're on your own so that when you're already out there, it's not that hard to pick up on what you learned anymore.
What factors should you consider in learning a skill online?
Learning a skill online needs you to invest in a good internet connection, if you don't have any yet, because it's the only way to work with a tutor. You also have to invest your time and if time is difficult to spare, you might as well choose a platform that allows you to choose your own schedule. You also need space, like a quiet room, where you can speak with the tutor and be able to focus on your lessons.
How can you help your Grammar tutor be effective in teaching you?
Always be attentive with what your tutor is teaching you. It's the only way for you to understand and learn easily. Make sure that you follow the schedule that you agreed on or what you choose for yourself if that's how it works. You also have to participate in the activities that your tutor has planned for you because these have been tailored fit with the requirements that you have set. If you are asked to practice during the days when you don't have lessons, you have to religiously do so.
What kind of Grammar tutor should you choose?
It really depends on your learning style. If you think you can learn better if the person is more of someone who teaches professionally then you can find someone who teaches that way. If you're the type who learns while just talking to the teacher, then you can opt for someone who's friendly, enthusiastic and fun but still focusing on the lesson at hand. Always read a tutor's personal introduction so you have a bit of an idea who they are and how they teach.
What's the advantage of hiring a tutor?
It's an advantage to hire a tutor because lessons will be customized for you and you'll be guided in learning them to make it more effective for you. You can easily interact with them and ask them to elaborate if something's not really that clear to you. They will also be able to give you feedback on your progress with your lessons and how far along you are in achieving your goals in learning the skill.
How can learning a skill benefit me other than being able to communicate with it?
Studies have proved that learning can help you with other mental processes as it sharpens your thinking skills. There's significant improvement in your memory, enhances your concentration, it helps you be able to multitask with ease and improves your listening comprehension skills. It also helps you solve problems easily because it enables you to critically be able to think to come up with effective solutions.
What should be your mindset so you can learn a new skill easily?
If you already have a particular skill in mind because you have goals to achieve, prepare yourself to learn it and be mentally ready to take risks. There will be times that you will struggle but it should always challenge you to work harder and do better. You have to be optimistic and determined that no matter how many obstacles you have, you're still willing to make it happen.
How important is motivation in learning a skill?
Before you decide to learn a new skill, you have to be able to answer the question, "Why do you really want to learn?" It could be because you'll get a promotion at work, or for a new relationship, or because you want to get better grades in school and etc. There are many reasons why you want to push yourself to learn.
