About meMy name is Panagiota Ouli. I am 23 years old and I was born and raised in Greece. I studied Greek Philology and Linguistics in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and I graduated with honors. Since 2017 I work as a teacher in the Greek school of Budapest "Manolis Glezos". I have three-year-experience teaching Greek as a foreign or second language both in children and adults. I also work as a freelancer.Since I graduated from university, I have travelled a lot and lived in Poland and currently in Hungary. I am keen on coming in touch with people from various cultural backgrounds. I love teaching Greek to foreigners and sharing my knowledge concerning the Greek culture with them. I can teach Greek for both children and adults who now start learning Greek, I can also teach business vocabulary or I can emphasize on conversational Greek. I am also competent teaching Greek language to Greek native speakers according to the official national curriculum. I speak English fluently. I am getting informed about new educational methods and techniques, I have attended educational courses and I currently work on a nine-month-course regarding the intercultural education and the use of technology in the lesson experience. The structure of each lesson focuses on the equal development of four skills: reading, writing, listening and oral competence. For this reason, I always have as a reference three courses that I trust and suggest to my students depending on their level: Klik on Greek, Taxidi stin Ellada and Communicate in Greek. These handbooks offer a syllabus, the first steps for planning the theme of the lesson and apply to the four goals that I am interested to achieve during my lesson. In case of an online course, the student is not obliged to buy the handbooks, but it's me that I provide him with all the educational material. However, especially when it comes with children, the lesson could sometimes be boring if it is restricted in the use of the handbook. For, I always try to prepare interactive activities using various educational platforms such as LearningApps, Edmondo, Quizlet, Hot Potatoes, websites for the creation of mindmaps e.t.c.. Furthermore, the students can be taught from external sources apart from the use of handbook such as videos from Youtube (especially on the educational chanel) or blogs. This brings them in touch with Greek native speakers and authors. The two major fields of teaching is Modern Greek as a foreign or native language and ancient Greek. Experience in detail: I have prepaired students for giving interviews for Greek companies with big success. Strong experience in teaching conversational Greek, as many of my adult students are interested in learning Greek for understanding and producing casual Greek everyday dialogues or are being prepaired to move in and live their daily life in Greece. My field of studies is Greek literature (ancient, modern and medieval) and I have worked as a Greek literature tutor in Greece prepairing students for the big final exams before entering to the university. I currently work as a Greek teacher to the Greek school of Budapest, where the majority of the groups I teach are children from 6 to 17 years old.
