Are you studying English for quite some time now? If you are, then you must have been used to the different competencies and strategies on how to slowly but surely get to a certain language level.

You've come past the A1, A2, and B1 levels which means you have learned a lot of English already. How was it? Whether it's easy or difficult, I hope you still have the same eagerness and enthusiasm in learning some more English. You'll find out sooner or later that what you are doing now will eventually bring you to a good place in the future.

English is the language the world speaks. Apart from the United States and the United Kingdom, other countries in the world also have adopted it. However, you should consider yourself luckier because not everybody gets the same chance you have. They only know a few things in English while you have already succeeded in three different levels in learning English.

How to reach B2 level in English? What is your secret? Well, if you do not know what to do on this next level yet, let me help you with some of the possible steps you can try this time. First thing is to know what B2 level is all about. Basically, the B2 level in English would include skills such as:

  • Share about your own education, strengths and weaknesses, career, and experiences

  • Talk about your likes and dislikes, hobbies, and sports

  • Apply knowledge of certain English expressions suitable for social situations like saying "good morning" or good afternoon", as well as in praising or telling someone you sympathize with them

  • Describe politics and some politician's behaviors

  • Share about leadership and the leadership of a person whom you admire

  • Discuss topics about gender issues and share insights or opinion

  • Describe your life at work and your lifestyle, too

Second to that is to always practice speaking the language if you have the chance. Make English a part of your daily life and never give up even if you make mistakes.

Third, be with friends and people who are good at speaking the language. They'll help you become more used to speaking in English especially when you talk to them a lot.

Fourth, read more books and other resources that are in English. Try other topics you don't usually encounter particularly those that are part of the skills included in the B2 level.

Then, remember to download a mobile app that is easy and convenient for you to use anywhere and anytime. This way, you can continue to learn and practice alone.

At this point in your journey to becoming fluent in English, you might be feeling tired or fed up with much information you've been keeping in mind each time you finish a lesson. However, I hope you're otherwise.

The B2 level may be harder than the previous one but not for a motivated and determined person. Just keep going and see how far you can go with English later on.
